Heute ging es für uns auf den Vulkan El Tatio um uns die brodelnden Geysire anzuschauen und in ihrem Wasser zu baden.
In San Petro wohnten wir auf einer Höhe von ca. 2500 m, was für den Körper noch keine allzu große Herausforderung darstellt. Der Tatio liegt jedoch auf einer Höhe von über 4000 m, weshalb wir etwas besorgt waren, ob wir Symptome der ‚Höhenkrankheit‘ spüren würden. Dort angekommenen hatten wir aber zum Glück gar keine Probleme, wenn man davon absieht dass man nach ein paar Stufen schon etwas außer Puste war ;)
Dies machte uns gute Hoffnung für die kommende Zeit im hochgelegenen Bolivien und ließ uns die Geysireatmosphäre umso mehr genießen. Die Kälte hier oben (4 Grad) vertrieben wir mit einem Bad im dampfend heißen Wasser und fuhren anschließend in die Bergdörfer um Lamas zu streicheln und Flamingos zu beobachten.
