„Wenn ihr erst mal einen richtigen Job anfangt, werdet ihr nicht mehr so viel Reisen“ – Diesen Satz haben wir jetzt schon oft gehört. Daher wollten wir gleich mal das Gegenteil beweisen und sind nach Mallorca geflogen. Okay, eventuell hatten auch die günstigen Flugdeals etwas damit zu tun.
Wie wenig Zeit wir jedoch haben werden, um unseren Blog weiterzuführen, hat uns keiner prophezeit ^^* Daher kommen erst jetzt, genau ein Jahr später, die restlichen Einträge…
Mallorca ist die größte Insel der Balearen und beherbergt deren Hauptstadt Palma. Von dort, bzw. vom dortigen Strand S’Arenal – Ballermann – hielten wir uns aber bis zum letzten Tag fern.
Mit 550 Kilometern Küste gab es genug Auswahl für etwas ruhigere Strände. Außerdem hofften wir, wir könnten weiter im Inland ein bisschen unser Spanisch verbessern und vielleicht etwas Katalanisch aufschnappen. Das Zweite hat nicht geklappt, das Erste dafür schon! Auch wenn es einem in manchen Gebieten eher so vorkommt, als gäbe es hier mehr Deutsche oder Engländer als Spanier.
Dafür haben wir uns aber mit zwei Deutschen besonders gern getroffen: Marlis ihre Schwester Britta und ihren Freund Olli. Die beiden waren nämlich zur gleichen Zeit in Mallorca :)
Gemeinsam genossen wir vor allem die schönen Strände und die tollen Buchten des Cap de Formentor. Aber wir fuhren auch in die Serra de Tramuntana, einen Gebirgszug im Westen der Insel, und besuchten dort schöne alte Städchen wie z. B. Soller oder Valdemossa. Auf der anderen Seite des Gebirges befanden sich auch kleine Buchten, die man nur über eine verrückte gewundene Straße (Sa Calobra) erreicht.
