Für den Heimweg unserer Südamerikareise haben wir einen Flugdeal mit 180 Euro von San Francisco nach Paris gefunden. Und da man mit dem TGV innerhalb von 3 h in Stuttgart ist sprach nichts gegen diesen kleinen Umweg. Außerdem ist Paris ist einfach zu schön um es nicht mehrfach zu besuchen! <3
Dieses Mal besuchten wir die Katakomben unter der Stadt. Dieses Labyrinth an Gängen war einst ein Steinbruch, der jedoch stillgelegt werden musste, weil er zur Instabilität mehrere Straßen und Stadtviertel geführt hat.
Als dann im 16. Jahrhundert ein Ort für die Überreste der Seuchenopfer gefunden werden musste, beschloss man die Leichen und Skelette mehreren Millionen Parisern dort aufzubewahren. Heutzutage bilden die Totenköpfe und Gebeine sozusagen die Wände der ehemaligen Stollen und machen die Tour dort zu einem schaurigen Erlebnis.
